Philanthropy
At Beta Deuteron, we believe true brotherhood is defined by our impact on the community. Our national philanthropic partner is the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, which helps families and individuals affected by autism live life to the fullest. We are incredibly proud to be a top fundraising chapter for the foundation, recently earning the national Comeback Charge of the Year award after raising over $8,000 in a single campaign.
Beyond our national partnership, we give back to the Ames community and beyond through dedicated philanthropic events throughout the year. Our brothers participate at one of the highest rates on campus — over 90% of members raised money during the 2026 Polar Plunge, combining with our Greek Week pairing partners to contribute $48,767 to Special Olympics Iowa. That level of participation does not happen by accident. It is a reflection of the culture we have built and the standard we hold ourselves to as Thumpers.
