  • Driven by a strong culture shift and successful recruitment, Beta Deuteron currently sits at 105 active members, making our chapter the largest and most active it has been in years. Our house has a comfortable capacity for 41 men living in-house, creating a highly sought-after, close-knit living experience. Our members pursue a wide range of academic paths, heavily representing elite programs across Business, Engineering, Kinesiology, and Psychology. To maintain high chapter standards, our internal points system rewards brothers for academic performance, campus leadership, and house involvement.

  • There are no dues or financial obligations for members until after initiation. Once initiated, out-of-house dues are around $400 per semester. For brothers living in the house, dues are approximately $4,400 per semester. This competitive, all-inclusive live-in cost fully covers property parking, 24-hour kitchen access, free laundry facilities, all regular chapter social events, and freshly prepared weekly meals from our private house chef.

  • At Beta Deuteron, we believe true brotherhood is defined by our impact on the community. Our national philanthropic partner is the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, which helps families and individuals affected by autism live life to the fullest. We are incredibly proud to be a top fundraising chapter for the foundation, recently earning the national Comeback Charge of the Year award after raising over $8,000 in a single campaign.

Beyond our national partnership, we host dedicated philanthropic events throughout the year to support both local and global causes:

    • Theta Delta Canes (Fall): Heading into its third year, this signature fall philanthropy partners with Raising Canes to raise vital funds and awareness in support of sexual assault victims.

    • Thumpers Taco Tuesday (Mid-November): An annual fall tradition hosted in partnership with local Mexican restaurant El Jefe, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation.

    • Toys for Tots Drive (Early December): A massive three-day winter drive hosted alongside Phi Beta Sigma—one of Iowa State’s premier NPHC chapters. Together, we collected over 1,000 unused toys for families in need right before Christmas.

    • Thumpers Cookies and Cream (Late April): Our annual spring philanthropy partnered with Blue Bunny Ice Cream, serving as our secondary major fundraiser for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation.
