Our reputation on campus has been growing and we've been constantly increasing our numbers and improving since 2007. We represent a wide variety of majors and backgrounds, bringing in students from all over the nation. All of our members are very involved in the fraternity and in Iowa State student life. Theta Delta Chi strives to improve all of its members to improve and reform them to the best of their abilities. It's a brotherhood for life.
This is the parking lot of TDX. Parking spots are determined by a point system that takes into account community service hours, seniority in the house, as well as time on the house exec team. Also included in the back lot is a basketball hoop and a fire pit, which are used by members daily.
This is the TDX laundry room, including two washing machines and two dryers, located in the basement of the house. Members living within the home may do their laundry for free.
Each room fits about 4-6 comes with couches, study desks, and a 55'smart TV.
In the house are eight study rooms, each holding up to four to five members.
Members are also given a desk, a chair, a pinup board, a shelf, and a rollout cabinet, all to their own to study while at the house.
This is the signature room within the house, known as Veranda. Members with the most seniority usually live in this room. Included in the room is a window with access to the balcony.
Each room also includes multiple windows which members can open and close to their pleasing.
This is the Cold Air, where members living within the house sleep at night. Cold airs consist of 4 or 8 members.
Located in the basement is a study area, which includes printers members can use. This room is required to be silent 24/7 so members can study and do their schoolwork.
This is the kitchen of TDX. Members are granted access to cooking supplies they can use to make their own food on the weekends. The kitchen is open to members throughout the day, 7 days a week, and closes at 10 PM nightly. However, watch out for Mom Linda and her water gun, as she has been known to shoot members with it if caught in the kitchen after 10 PM.
Members are also granted unlimited amounts of chocolate and 2% milk they can drink throughout the day.
Each house floor includes three toilets, three sinks, and an open shower with four showerheads.
This is the first-floor lounge area where you can find members socializing, playing games, doing homework, or talking to House Mom Linda.
The house that we currently live in was completed in 1910 and is the oldest house on Ash Ave built for fraternal living. We have lived here since 1919, and our house has just gained both state and national historical site recognition. Renovations were completed during spring 2016.
